Civil Rights: Rights that every human being should have regardless of their race, background, religion, or other orientation.
The photo above is a strong representation of the message of the civil rights movement. It shows that white and black races can learned to live with each other, because they truly are the same. It comes as a shock that two different races cannot manage to assimilate, but many forms of protest and leaders like Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., and Rosa Parks lead the change in Civil Rights that came to be known as the Civil Rights Movement. Contrary to popular belief, the black community was not the only people discriminated against during the Civil Rights Movement. Other foreign American immigrants, and people of different orientation were also discriminated against; these people paved the way for Civil Rights and the ridding of discrimination of these people then, and now.
